Nottingham boxer Tyan Booth, 34, has had his professional licence suspended by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC) after making light of the death of Scott Westgarth.
Westgarth, 31, passed away last weekend following his points victory over Dec Spelman in Doncaster.
Westgarth fell ill backstage after the fight and, on Monday morning, the tragic news came from his promoter, Stefy Bull, that he had passed away in hospital.

Booth, who was scheduled to fight next month, will now have to make alternative plans after tweeting that some people would like to see him put down in a similar fashion to Westgarth.

Booth's reference to former WBC middleweight champion Gerald McClellan points to the American's final fight with Nigel Benn where he initially lost his eyesight, the ability to walk unassisted and was reported as being 80 percent deaf.

Booth's trainer Dominic Ingle of Ingle Gym said that his fighter's comments will be dealt with internally by Ingle Gym and the BBBofC, and while he has been asked to delete his tweets, the comments still remain visible on his Twitter profile.
