Donegal’s Jason Quigley enhances growing reputation with impressive victory in Las Vegas

Donegal's Jason Quigley enhanced his growing reputation with a unanimous points victory over Mexico's James De La Rosa on Saturday night.

It was only the second time the 24-year-old, who was fighting on the Canelo Alvarez v Amir Khan undercard, had been taken the distance in his 11 bouts since turning professional in 2014. That there is yet to be a mark in Quigley's less column suggests that there is a bright future. This was a more cagey bout than many of Quigley's previous fights, but the Donegal man showed a different range of skills, boxing clever to ensure that the victory was never really in doubt.
