It's all over (for now, at least)
After all the internet hype and all the Twitter trash talk, KSI and Logan Paul - a couple of YouTubers most people over the age of 15 probably don't know a great deal about - had their fight.
Taking place in front of 18,000 in the Manchester Arena on Saturday night, the boxing match between the pair attracted a global audience of millions. Such was the interest in the bout that the events undercard, on YouTube for £7.50, drew an audience for 795,000.
However, after going the full distance of six rounds the bout ended in a majority draw: KSI given a 58-57 win by one judge; the other two scoring it as a 57-57 draw.
Paul, best known on these shores for the
controversy over his Suicide Forest video earlier this year, had the better of the first two rounds of the fight, the American landing a number of jabs and body shots on KSI.
KSI appeared to dominate from thereon, particularly in the final round where he seemed to connect with a number of his punches.
Inevitably, this result will almost certainly lead to a rematch. In fact, it was already being talked up by KSI within seconds of the result being confirmed. He declared:
"I guess we have to have a rematch."
