Andy Lee is just hours away from his first title defence of the WBO crown he claimed last December, but this afternoon the standard weigh-in has cast tomorrow's action in New York into major doubt.
The weight limit is 160lbs and the Limerick man came in at 159.6. All good and all systems go for Saturday night's action.
However his opponent Peter Quillin came in at 161.4lb,which means he is now under severe pressure to try and lose the required 1.4lbs to be able to make the fight.

Generally if fighters do have to lose a lot of weight quickly then it's straight to their local sauna where they will try and sweat it out.
UPDATE:
Quillin took to the scales again a moment ago but has failed to make the required weight of 160lbs.
He could only make weight of 160.6lbs which means tomorrow's fight will go ahead-but not for the WBO belt.
Lee may now to get a chance to defend his title against Billy Joe Saunders later this year.
