Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan's potential world title fight with middleweight world champion Gennady Golovkin could be in jeoporady after the Kazakh boxer was linked to a fight with unbeaten 21-year-old Jaime Munguia (28-0, 24 KOs).
According to ESPN's lead boxing writer Dan Rafael, Golovkin could now fight the Mexican boxer on May 5 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas if the Nevada Athletic Commission approves him as the replacement for Canelo Alvarez.

Alvarez withdrew from his scheduled May 5 rematch with Golovkin on Tuesday in the wake of two positive doping tests for clenbuterol and his anticipation of a ban from the Nevada Athletic Commission.
The reports linking Munguia to Golovkin could potentially derail O'Sullivan's chances of fighting GGG.

"I've said yes to fighting GGG, I've been training nonstop since my last fight and now I'm waiting to see if it can be arranged, just like you.

"As soon as I know what's going on I will tell you. If I get the opportunity to go in against the best I won't let you down. I truly believe that it is my destiny to become the world champion."
