Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has been heavily criticised for his decision to announce his club future on live television.
Griezmann announced on Spanish television on Thursday that he would be staying at Atletico next season amid heavy interest from La Liga champions Barcelona.
His decision to announce his club future via live television was heavily criticised on social media with many users labeling the programme as selfish given that France will kick off their 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign against Australia on Sunday.

Griezmann repeatedly laughed off questions regarding a potential move to Barcelona earlier this week before claiming at a French national team press conference that he made up his mind as to where he would be playing next season.
His decision to stay follows Atletico's acquisition of his international teammate Thomas Lemar.
Atletico said in a statement on their official website on Tuesday: "Atletico de Madrid and AS Monaco have achieved a preliminary agreement over the transfer of Thomas Lemar to our club.
"Over the next days, both clubs will work to close the agreement for the definitive transfer."
