Arsenal hero Pires identifies the solution to the club’s midfield woes

Times are tough for Arsenal, with several midfielders sidelined through injury.

Francis Coquelin, Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta and Santi Cazorla are all sidelined, but one member of their Invincibles squad thinks he has the answer. Robert Pires, who scored 14 goals from the wing when Arsenal were unbeaten Premier League champions in 2004, wants the club to move for Southampton's Victor Wanyama. "He is a very good ambassador for Kenya and he has shown that there is a lot of talent in the country," the Frenchman told reporters in the African country, according to the Daily Nation. “I have watched him play many times and, like all other African footballers, I wish him well. "Play for Arsenal?  Why not! He has the speed, skill and physique. I however think he needs to score more goals because then he will be world-class material,”
