Buzzkillington Louis van Gaal issues career warning to Marcus Rashford

Louis van Gaal could do with a weekend in Amsterdam to chill the f**k out.

We don't care what he gets up to out there *cough* but the warning he has issued to Marcus Rashford about living up to the hype created this season is bringing us down. The Dutchman should be thanking the teenager for possibly saving his season, as his goals have illuminated a dark period  at Old Trafford under the former Ajax manager. Instead, ahead of today's Premier league clash with Everton, van Gaal, who ofcourse is trying to keep the 18-year-old's feet on the ground, has a stern warning for the player about his future.

“He is starting with expectations and now the pressure is bigger. “The first matches aren’t so difficult for the young players. They give everything and you didn’t expect anything from Marcus. “We have to wait and see if his consistency is high – like Anthony Martial’s has been. “I think Martial’s consistency is very rare for a young player and Rashford has also proved it over a shorter period. But now he has to prove it for a longer period.”

Van Gaal's comments of course make perfect sense, and he's well within his rights to make the sure the teenager does not become another Federico Macheda, but let him just enjoy his football for now please. He looks like an incredible talent and Louis should let the club worry about the future, when, you know, that comes.
