What happened next left his Ireland teammates in heaps of laughter, as legendary Italian coach Trapattoni watched on wondering what to make of his new player.

"I thought of something similar but I didn't tell anyone what I was going to do. So I got up on the chair and I started off Eiffel 65's Blue," Sheridan said.
"So I start the song, 'So, listen up, here's a story' and then it comes to the chorus bit just before that, I've gone... 'And he ain't got nobody to listen, to listen... REMIX... I'm new (Instead of 'I'm Blue')...'
"I just had Trapattoni looking at me like, 'What the f*** is this?"
The former Bayern Munich and Juventus manager watched on in astonishment, as the striker delivered what was certainly a 'unique' initiation performance.
"I put my caps down to that!", Sheridan concluded.
