Sunderland have appointed Moyes as Sam Allardyce's successor, who was confirmed as the new manager of England on Friday.

Moyes had been linked with the Sunderland gig when they were searching for a replacement for Dick Advocaat last October, but it took Big Sam landing the England role for him to finally secure the position.
His impressive 11 year-tenure at Everton has some fans hopeful that the he will prove to be the right man for the job, with a lot of people genuinely excited to see him back in England.

However, his abysmal 10 months at Old Trafford, which saw him leave with the Red Devils in seventh place in the Premier League, coupled with his recent poor spell at Real Sociedad that also ended with him being sacked has left expectations quite low for others.
