Explaining that a move for Liverpool's Emre Can is as good as confirmed, a report from Calcio Mercato claims that Juve have now reached an agreement with Darmian's entourage - fending off interest from other Serie A clubs, including title rivals, Napoli. As well as this, contact has already been made with United, who appear open to the idea of the transfer.
The Italian champions are said to have considered a move for the 28-year-old in January, with United thought to have been reluctant to let him leave at this point without adequate cover in the full-back area.
Allowing Darmian to depart Old Trafford would tie in with recent reports suggesting Jose Mourinho is planning a defensive overhaul in the summer.
