There was a new set of eyes on Derry City's last league game.
Derry City slumped to a 2-1 loss to league leaders Cork City in Buncrana last Friday night.
Filming the game from the TV gantry was a representative of Danish team FC Midtjylland, who will take on the Candy Stripes in the first qualifying round of the Europa League on Thursday evening.
No doubt the scout learned a lot about the team from the mission, but he also learned a
lesson about Donegal that he won't soon forget.

As the
Derry Journal report, the Midtiylland man didn't do enough research into the geography of Ireland's most northerly county.
While the scout was expecting to be staying pretty close to where the game was taking place in Maginn Park, the hotel he was staying in was actually in Donegal Town. That left him with a 170 km round trip from his base camp to the game, which is roughly an hour and a half by car.
It would have been considerably longer if he opted to choose the less glamorous bus option.
