After the recent fiasco that unfolded in the Germany vs Cameroon match, you would be forgiven for thinking that the biggest points of contention regarding the use of VAR have been discussed.
Well, the Confederations Cup final has created another unnecessary talking point after Chile's Gonzalo Jara only picked up a yellow card following this elbow on Germany's Timo Werner.
As you can see below, Jara steps across to intercept the ball from the RB Leipzig striker, but he clearly leads with an elbow to the jaw.
The referee didn't quite see the incident in full, but after consulting with the video assistant referees, he only showed a yellow to Jara, who is very, very lucky to still be on the field.
