Bayern Munich were expected to face the first real test of the new German season this afternoon when they took on Bayer Leverkusen.
Unfortunately it didn't really turn out that way after they romped to a 3-0 win over their rivals after winning a game without any recognised centre-backs in their starting XI.
Xabi Alonso and David Alaba were at the heart of the defence but even their unfamiliar roles were overshadowed by an outrageous flick from Brazilian Douglas Costa.
