'You maybe have the best in the world at that (in) Jamie Vardy'
Erling Haaland has admitted how he has studied Leicester City veteran Jamie Vardy to help improve his game.
The Manchester City forward has built a reputation as one of the finest strikers on the planet in his short career, but has explained how he always looks to improve his game by learning from others.
Haaland on why he has studied Vardy
During his time at Borussia Dortmund Haaland explained why Vardy is one of those he has watched closely, with the Norwegian believing the former England international is one of the best in the world at running in behind defenders.
"I've been, not studying, but watching a lot of players," Haaland said in an interview with
Sky Sports.
"Let's take an example: the running in behind the centre-back when the No 10 has the ball. You maybe have the best in the world at that (in) Jamie Vardy, I've been looking a lot at him on exactly this.
"That's how I am, I've always been watching a lot of football. I still do. When we play on Saturday, I go home and on Sunday I watch football all day. I've always liked football a lot."

Haaland taken to Premier League with ease
It's fair to say that the forward's time in England has been a successful one so far.
The 22-year-old has 33 goals from 30 games in all competitions this season - at both club and international level - including 21 goals in the Premier League.
Among some of his many strikes include a hat trick in a 6-3 demolition job of local rivals Manchester United at the start of the season.
His impressive start at the Etihad Stadium has even led to some speculation questioning if he could one day go on to break Alan Shearer's record of 260 Premier League goals, however that is still some way off from becoming a genuine possibility.
