The 30-year-old returned to Everton for pre-season training, and a change of manager appears to have done little to improve his standing at Goodison Park.
McGeady has been left without a squad number for the upcoming season, having been stripped of his number seven jersey. The winger was also left out of Ronald Koeman's squad that travelled to Germany to continue their pre-season preparations.
Gerard Deulofeu has taken McGeady's number seven shirt while Oumar Niasse, the Senegalese striker who signed for the club last January for £13.5m, has also been left without a shirt number.
McGeady still has two years left on his current deal but we doubt he'll be at Everton come September 1.
