There is no hiding from the fact that Roy Hodgson's side have been utterly woeful.
A below-par Euro 2016 in which England scraped through the group stages culminated in one of the worst results in the country's footballing history.
And that's saying a f*****g lot.
England were outplayed, outrun and outfoxed by European footballing minnows Iceland who have a population the same as Leicester.
The tiny island nation were simply better organised and more well-drilled than England with their embarrassment of footballing talent.
But former England captain Rio Ferdinand said we should have seen this latest and greatest debacle coming a mile off.
Despite Hodgson's side's 100 per cent record in qualifying, he came into the tournament without a nailed on, best starting XI.
