Wilson, who Gerrard knows well from his role as one of the academy coaches at Anfield, spent the second half of last season on loan at Hull City. After a string of impressive performances on Humberside, the Hull Daily Mail report that Tigers' manager Nigel Adkins is keen to strike another loan deal for him for next season.
Although Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp is said to be open to the idea of him gaining more first-team experience away from the Merseyside club, Hull are by no means the only side looking to offer it to him.
As well as interest from Leeds United and Aston Villa, Rangers are said to be keen to take Wilson to Ibrox. The opportunity play for a familiar figure in Gerrard may make the prospect of a move to Glasgow more appealing for the youngster.
Wilson made 13 appearances for Hull towards the end of the current campaign, with the 21-year-old chipping in with seven goals.
