Mason will remain in hospital for the coming days and while he concentrates on his recovery, his Hull teammates have a special tribute planned to let their close friend know that they are thinking about him in such a difficult time in the player's life.
The club announced that the Hull players will wear 'Mason 25' t-shirts during their pre-game warm up ahead of Thursday's EFL Cup semi-final second leg clash with Manchester United in what is a wonderful gesture that we're sure will be greatly appreciated by Mason and his family.
The Tigers have also asked fans in attendance to respectfully offer a minute's applause in the 25th minute as a show of support for Hull's number 25.Explore more on these topics:
