Stephen Kenny names Ireland squad for matches against Scotland and Armenia

Ireland play two Nations League games this month.

The Republic of Ireland squad to play Scotland and Armenia has been named. Stephen Kenny has selected a 24-man squad for the Uefa Nations League games. Robbie Brady has returned to squad for the first time since March 2021 following his impressive form for Preston North End. Andrew Omobamidele has also returned after returning from injury. Cardiff City winger Callum O'Dowda is back in Kenny's squad for the first time since November 2020. Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, however, has not been selected due to injury. Midfielders: Josh Cullen (Burnley), Jeff Hendrick (Reading), Jason Knight (Derby County), Alan Browne (Preston North End), Jayson Molumby (West Bromwich Albion), Conor Hourihane (Derby County), Callum O'Dowda (Cardiff City).

Forwards: Chiedozie Ogbene (Rotherham United), Michael Obafemi (Swansea City), Troy Parrott (Preston North End), Callum Robinson (Cardiff City), Scott Hogan (Birmingham City). Ireland play Scotland at Hampden Park on Saturday, September 24, before hosting Armenia in Dublin three days later. Kenny's team are currently in third place in Nations League group B1, with four points from four games. Ireland lost to Armenia and Ukraine in June, before beating Scotland 3-0 and drawing 1-1 with Ukraine in their return fixture.
