The home side hit the woodwork twice in the first half and probably deserved a goal over the course of the 90 minutes.
The game was in stark contrast to the limp and insipid performances over the last month or so, and Jamie Carragher feels that Ryan Giggs could now be calling the shots at Old Trafford after a most un-Louis-van-Gaal like performance.

Daily Mail column this afternoon, the ex-Liverpool defender feels the Manchester United team that faced Chelsea looked very much like they were Giggs-inspired
"If I hadn’t read a paper or watched television in the last 48 hours, I’d have thought it was Ryan Giggs’s first game in charge."
