Jamie Carragher hopes Gary Neville emigrates if Liverpool wins the league

Former Liverpool captain Jamie Carragher has said that he hopes fellow Sky Sports analyst Gary Neville emigrates abroad if Liverpool win the Premier League.

The reds are in pole position in this season's title race and are currently six points ahead of second placed Spurs with a trip to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City on the horizon. A win over City would put Jurgen Klopp's side nine points clear with 17 games to play and Carragher has said that he hopes his fellow analyst would join the Manchester United fans ready to emigrate should Liverpool win a maiden Premier League title. https://twitter.com/talkSPORT/status/1080780815213174785

“I hope so! There is no doubt Manchester is united tonight,” Carragher told Talksport. “United and City are as one. I think the majority of the United fans want City to come out on top.”

Liverpool have squandered similar leads before under both Rafa Benitez and Brendan Rodgers but Carragher defended both races claiming that those Liverpool teams were brilliant down the stretch.

"In 2009, Benitez’s end-of-season run was amazing," the former England defender wrote in his Daily Telegraph column. "We won ten of our final eleven Premier League games, a 4-4 draw with Arsenal the only setback. Manchester United had Cristiano Ronaldo and we could not catch them.
