The 29-year-old, who was playing non-league football less than five years ago, is the Premier League's top goalscorer after finding the net 16 times in 23 games.
He had reportedly been the subject of interest from top-flight rivals Chelsea and Liverpool, while a film of his life is also supposedly in the offing.
