Jermaine Pennant has found himself a new football club.
That wouldn't really be news in itself, nice and all that it is for the former Liverpool man to be gainfully employed again.
Singapore side Tampines Rovers have decided to take a punt on the former Arsenal winger and reports today suggest that he is about to become the country's highest paid player.
He looked only delighted earlier.

But the real treat was in finding out who one of the sponsors of Pennant's new club is.

And it looks like the famous manufacturers of Mikasa gloves/hand sponges have moved from Under-12 football to helping pay Pennant's wages judging by this snap of their training gear.

And judging by a quick Twitter search, the gloves are still a firm favourite among GAA players.

Are they the most iconic piece of sporting gear from your childhood? Surely rip-off tracksuit bottoms are the only rival.
