He replaced Zlatan Ibrahimovic at half-time during the 2-2 draw with the Clarets.
Jesse Lingard spurned a glorious chance to get Manchester United back into the game against Burnley, missing a golden opportunity from just a yard out, but redeemed himself with a brace.
Perfectly placed to convert Ashley Young's cross from the right, the attacking midfielder misjudged his effort and failed to beat Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope from point-blank range.
With the goal at his mercy, it was a pretty astonishing miss.
However, just three minutes later, Lingard scored a beautiful goal, this time converting Young's cross from the right, but doing so with a great piece of improvisation and skill. With the cross slightly behind him, Lingard adjusted his feet to score a Kanu-esque backheel and get United back in the game.
Then, in injury time, Lingard popped up again with a brilliant half-volley to snatch a point in dramatic fashion and deny the Clarets their first win at Old Trafford in 54 years.
The contrast in the positive and negative Lingard tweets really is something.
