Jonas Gutierrez has won his tribunal discrimination case against Newcastle United.
Gutierrez, who joined Newcastle from Real Mallorca in 2008, was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2013.
He had been a regular at St James' Park, but he's claiming that the Premier League club dropped him as a result of his diagnosis because they saw him as a liability after he returned from treatment.
After the tribunal found that the club dropped the Argentine because of his cancer diagnosis, and also ruled the club made it impossible for Gutierrez to trigger an appearance-based contract extension, Gutierrez took to Twitter to voice his anger at the board.

Newcastle released the following statement on their website soon after Jonas began airing his grievances on social media.
“We recognise that the task facing the tribunal was a difficult one, but we are dismayed by its decision. We will now take time to consider the judgement in full and consult with our legal team to understand the options available to us.”
