"He said it felt like he got hit in the calf. It's never a good sign," Klopp said in his post-match television interview. "He thought that. That's not how it happened. That's how it felt. That's not a good sign. It means it's probably a bit more than a strain so we'll have to see and make the diagnosis. "We don't know exactly but it doesn't look too good. We brought Adrian in for his experience. "He was calm and did the job and was good for us in possession and his calmness helps us a lot. "It's all good but we have a little problem at number three because Caoimhin Kelleher is coming back but he's not fit yet. "Even the younger ones have some issues again so we have to think again."Norwich managed to fire off 12 shots in their first game back in the Premier League, compared to Liverpool's 15, but Klopp isn't concerned by the attacking opportunities created by the league newcomers and attributes Liverpool's relative laxness to a tough pre-season.
"No it's something we have to work on going forward," he added. "We had a difficult pre-season but that's how it is. I think we handled the last two games extremely well for the pre-season and that's all we have to worry about. "There's a lot of space for improvement. We know that. But tonight as well you know you start the season and you use the things that are there as well as working on the other things."
