Since then, the Italian press have gone big on a new story that Juventus are trying to sign Ronaldo from Madrid. According to
Tuttosport and AS, Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes is laying the groundwork for a shock transfer that will see the player ditch Madrid for Turin.
Mendes has had a troublesome relationship with Juventus for the past 11 years, but the theory behind this rumour is that having sanctioned the transfer of João Cancelo from Valencia to Juve, he has smoothed things over with the Juventus hierarchy.
