Liverpool “submit world record bid” for new goalkeeper

Liverpool fans feared that the club would not address their glaring goalkeeper issue this summer, with suggestions that Jurgen Klopp was happy to let Danny Ward fight it out with Loris Karius for the No 1 spot. It's been known for months that Liverpool's top target is Roma 'keeper Alisson Becker but it had been suggested that the asking price for the Brazil international would make a deal unlikely. But a positive update arrived on Tuesday morning because, according to reports in Italy, Liverpool have finally submitted a formal bid for Alisson.
