When it rains, it pours for Everton.
The Toffees have struggled as of late to find any sort of consistency, with some fans even calling for manager Roberto Martinez to be shown the door.
Wednesday night's derby crunch match with Liverpool provided Martinez and Co. with the perfect opportunity to turn things around, as we all know that form goes out the window in a derby.
But it wasn't to be, as the Reds totally dominated their neighbours, walking away with a comfortable 4-0 win thanks to goals from Divock Origi, Mamadou Sakho, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho.
Despite the final scoreline, Everton did make the hosts work for it, as Adam Lallana looked to have scuppered Liverpool's best chance of the opening half.

But two goals right before the break gave Jurgen Klopp's men a lead they never looked like surrendering.

Things went from bad to worse for the visitors after Ramiro Funes Mori was sent off for a nasty tackle on Divock Origi, which saw the Belgian replaced by Daniel Sturridge.

Sturridge then punished the Toffees for their sloppy defending before Coutinho added a fourth.
And while Everton are not exactly the toughest opponents right now, Liverpool fans couldn't care less as they were feeling the Klopp effect.
