Liverpool are now relying on Daniel Sturridge and Christian Benteke to fire them to European glory, starting tonight as the Reds take on Villareal in the first leg of their Europa league semi-final.
Jurgen Klopp was cautious in not ruling Origi out for the remaining games of Liverpool's season after the injury and perhaps his optimism has been rewarded as reports today suggest the Belgian could be back in a matter of weeks.
Of course at the end of a season, a matter of weeks could see an injury lay off stretch into June but several agencies are suggesting the 21-year-old could possibly be fit for a Europa League final on May 18th, if Liverpool were to make it the distance.
The striker does not require surgery on his damaged ankle and, at the very least, he will almost certainly be fit for Belgium at Euro 2016.

But Liverpool fans, unconvinced by Christian Benteke and still worried over Daniel Sturridge's fitness, will be praying that Origi's recovery may allow him to play some role in any games coming towards the end of May.

It's just a shame he won't be able to help the club reach the final if they do qualify.
