Liverpool are looking into claims that Jordan Williams mocked the Munich air disaster on Twitter.
The 20-year-old academy graduate was said to have mocked the 1958 incident where Manchester United players were among the 23 who died at Munich airport.
Williams quoted a tweet which included a video of Liverpool fans celebrating inside Old Trafford with an airplane emoji which was seen as referencing the disaster.

The player has since deactivated his account but not before tweeting to say that his Twitter page was hacked.
"My Twitter has been hacked, I would never put anything like that to offend anyone, sorry about this," he posted after the initial tweet was deleted.
However, Press Association claim that Liverpool are now looking into the incident.

Before the game, Manchester United fans referenced Hillsborough on the motorway into Manchester with a
huge banner that read 'Murderers' with the date of that 1989 disaster.
