In all the excitement, the photograph failed to capture an important element - heads.
“We couldn’t have thought in a million years the picture would turn out the way it did - it’s the greatest photo that never was," Mike told the Liverpool Echo.
“It would have been perfect with the entire squad and the Anglican Cathedral in the background.
“Initially I was quite upset but we can see the funny side of it now.”
Luckily, the birthday girl was able to catch up with Klopp and nab a selfie with 'The Normal One' which softened the blow of missing out on a picture with the players too.

And she was also treated to a rendition of 'Happy Birthday' by Klopp so she can't really complain about the picture as she has a memory that will last a lifetime.
“We will definitely look back on it and laugh, you just couldn’t make it up," Mike added.
