A lot of people are taking issue with Uefa’s reason for not marking Turkey tragedy at Euro 2016

Uefa have announced that there will be no minute's silence at the Euro 2016 quarter-finals for the victims of the Istanbul airport attack.

A gun and bomb attack on Istanbul's Ataturk airport has resulted in 41 deaths and over 230 injuries, according to reports. The attack is being linked to the either the Islamic State or Kurdish separatists, but so far no group has admitted to it. It was expected that a minute's silence would be held at Euro 2016 for victims of the attack, but the governing body have confirmed that they will not be doing this at the quarter-final stage. Turkey played three games in the competition, losing their opening two matches to Croatia and Spain respectively before going out on a high note with a 2-0 win over Czech Republic. This has caused a lot of confusion regarding Uefa's statement explaining why there will not be marking the tragedy at the tournament.
