More problems for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Manchester United haven't had the best of times of late. After a resurgence under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, their form has nosedived in recent weeks where they have lost five of their last seven matches in all competitions. Champions League elimination at the hands of Barcelona in midweek was followed by a difficult start to their game against Everton on Sunday afternoon. United were two goals down at Goodison Park inside half an hour: Richarlison acrobatically turning home an opener before Gylfi Sigurdsson doubled the home side's lead with a shot from distance. Not only did this put a serious dent in United's aspirations of a top four finish, it also saw them fail to keep a clean sheet in their eleventh consecutive game in all competitions. This, as pointed out by Sky Sports, is now United's longest run without a clean sheet since the end of 1998 - a run in which Solskjaer himself featured seven times as a player. United started the game at Goodison knowing that a win would have taken them level on points with Tottenham, who lost by a single Phil Foden goal to Manchester City on Saturday.
