Starting his career at Sporting Lisbon, Betinho made his senior debut in 2011 before having loan spells at Vitoria Setubal and Brentford. He only made one appearance for Brentford as a substitute in a 3-0 defeat to Norwich City.
Betinho then left Sporting to join Belenenses on a four-year deal however he never showed signs of improvement and returned to Lisbon's B team to get more game time.
In 2019, Betinho earned himself a move to Portuguese club Espinho, where he has scored 18 league goals in 15 appearances and now has seemingly landed himself a move to Old Trafford if the latest development is anything to go by.
