Speaking to Sky Sports, Lampard admitted that while he's not always been keen to pursue a career in coaching, he's now quite happy to have a bash at it - although he's yet to get any of his coaching badges.
"There was a period earlier in my career where I really fancied it, then I thought I don't fancy the managerial thing. Now, I'm back onto it. The problem is I've got to get my badges and the hard thing for me is to have time to do it."Adding that he's now open to being a manager, Lampard goes on to explain that he'd only ever fancy managing one English club.
"As soon as I finish playing I'd like to take it up and maybe be a manager. It's hard though because I only want the Chelsea job."Despite bowing out of English football after a stint at City, some of you may recall that Lampard also played for Chelsea for a bit.
