Manchester United and Leicester players hit with FA charges after weekend draw

Leicester City will already be without Danny Drinkwater for the visit of Everton, but Robert Huth could join his team-mate on the sidelines.

The German defender has received an FA charge for alleged violent conduct during the 1-1 draw with Manchester United - a game in which Drinkwater was sent off for a second booking. United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has also been charged in relation to the same incident, which occurred in the 21st minute of the game. The FA has confirmed in a statement that both players have until 6pm on Wednesday to lodge an appeal. Huth might not be too bothered by the charge, with Leicester guaranteed to finish top of the Premier League, but Fellaini could miss crucial Premier League games if he ends up receiving a ban. United travel to Norwich and West Ham in their next two fixtures, before playing host to Bournemouth on the final day of the season. They are currently four points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City, but have a game in hand on their neighbours.
