There were suggestions last week that Ibrahimovic did not want to renew his current deal as he felt it wouldn't be proper to receive such a hefty salary when he would be unable to help the team on the pitch for so long. But now that the latest update would suggest that his absence will not be quite as long as first feared, perhaps the former Swedish captain will be more eager to sign on the dotted line and pull on the red jersey again next season.
