"Since I joined United, it has been everything I expected it to be. The club gives you all the guidance that you need from experienced coaches to improve every single day." "But I know that the hard work has just started and that I need to continue to listen and give everything in training and the matches we have coming up. I know I’m at the right place to continue my development as a young player and I’m thrilled to have signed a new contract."https://twitter.com/ManUtd/status/943428607367630848
Although he was born in Manchester and has represented England at u18 level, Noel King brought him into the Republic of Ireland u21 set-up. He qualifies for the Boys In Green through his Irish grandparents, as he revealed to manutd.com.
"My name is a bit of a giveaway. My grandparents on my dad's side were both born in Galway. The call came towards the end of last season when the Under 21 coach Noel King gave the Morecambe manager [Jim Bentley] a ring to ask if I'd be interested in getting involved."
"I was more than happy because it was an international call-up. When I was about 17, I had England Schools games against Scotland, Republic of Ireland and Wales but my dad's happy now with it being his side of the family and my mum is proud as well."
"It's a great experience being involved in international football and more games, a different type of football completely, so I hope I can grab it with both hands.'"
