Mason Greenwood will not train with Manchester United for the foreseeable future, following allegations of assault, the club have confirmed.
Man United released a statement in which they stressed that they "do not condone violence of any kind" and that they will make no comment until the "facts have been established."
A few hours later, the club issued an update on the situation, saying: "
Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice."
Nike, who sponsor Greenwood,
have also commented on the matter, saying: "We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation."
