Manchester United reject latest Inter bid for Romelu Lukaku

Manchester United have reportedly rejected Inter Milan's latest bid for striker Romelu Lukaku.

Inter manager Antonio Conte has repeatedly stated his desire to bring Lukaku to the San Siro but it seems the club's £54 million bid has fallen short of United's expectations. https://twitter.com/SkyKaveh/status/1152518223331504128 United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been coy on the futures of midfielder Paul Pogba and striker Romelu Lukaku and says it's natural that players at the club are linked with moves away from Old Trafford.

“Of course, there's a limit of players,” Solskjaer said. “Whoever performs will be part of the team and whoever doesn't has a fight to get back in. “The day we start the league, I'm sure everyone who's here will give absolutely everything for Manchester United. “We want a strong team with players who give everything. There are always rumours and speculation about United players, but when the league starts we'll batten down the hatches and stay as a team.”

Meanwhile Conte acknowledges that Lukaku is a United player but admitted that he had made previous attempts to work with the player during his time at Chelsea.

"You know I like this player," said Conte. "In the past when I was Chelsea's coach [from 2016 to 2018] I tried to bring him to Chelsea. "As I said before, I like this player and consider him an important player for us to have a good improvement but at the same there is a transfer market. "We know very well which is our situation at the moment and we will see what happens but for now Lukaku is a United player."
