“Of course, there's a limit of players,” Solskjaer said. “Whoever performs will be part of the team and whoever doesn't has a fight to get back in. “The day we start the league, I'm sure everyone who's here will give absolutely everything for Manchester United. “We want a strong team with players who give everything. There are always rumours and speculation about United players, but when the league starts we'll batten down the hatches and stay as a team.”Meanwhile Conte acknowledges that Lukaku is a United player but admitted that he had made previous attempts to work with the player during his time at Chelsea.
"You know I like this player," said Conte. "In the past when I was Chelsea's coach [from 2016 to 2018] I tried to bring him to Chelsea. "As I said before, I like this player and consider him an important player for us to have a good improvement but at the same there is a transfer market. "We know very well which is our situation at the moment and we will see what happens but for now Lukaku is a United player."
