Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s wage demands for Manchester United sound entirely reasonable

Of course they can. They have more money than sense, but how much sense do they have? That seems to be the only stumbling block to getting Zlatan Ibrahimovic playing at Old Trafford next season. Jose Mourinho will be confirmed as Louis van Gaal's successor later this week, and it is believed the Portuguese is keen on linking up with the Swede once again. According to The Guardian, the 34-year-old striker is warming to the idea of moving to Manchester and is hopeful that a deal can be sorted out. The striker is understood to be looking to become the second highest paid player at the club behind Wayne Rooney, who currently earns more than Neymar at £300,000 per week. Zlatan's baseline wage figure is over £200,000 per week, and reports suggest he wants to pocket a combined total of just over £11million per season. Initial talks have been held with Zlatan's agent, Mino Raiola, but there are other offers on the table for the iconic forward. L.A Galaxy is understood to have signalled their interest, while the former Inter Milan striker is also being tempted by a number of Middle Eastern sides. The biggest plus for Manchester United in sorting any deal, and agreeing to wage demands of course, is the fact that there will be no transfer fee involved for the Swede, who is unlikely to have any deal for his future sorted out before the beginning of the Euros. Zlatan's future being up in the air could become a massive distraction for Ireland's opening Group E opponents. Hopefully. Maybe. It could, alright.
