Whatever happens on the final day of the Premier League season, Wolves will finish in seventh place but Matt Doherty insists that his side will fight for all three points on Sunday.
With everything at stake atop the Premier League table, Doherty has promised to respect the title race and give everything at Anfield this weekend.
A victory for Manchester City at Brighton on Sunday will guarantee them the title but anything less will gift Liverpool the opportunity to claim their first every Premier League triumph.
And while there may well be a few childhood Reds fans in the Wolves dressing room, Doherty has rejected claims that his team will walk on to the Anfield turf with anything other than victory in their minds.
"We have one more game to go and we have to respect what's happening at the top of the league and prepare properly and we're going to Liverpool to try to win," Doherty told

"Considering where we were two years ago, it's pretty unbelievable really, how quick the change has happened.
"Some of the lads have played in Europe, but a lot of us haven't, so it would be a new experience and we're all trying to get better and playing in European competitions just shows where the club could be.
"I've seen it all. I've seen all the highs, all the lows and the changes but I've managed to survive so far. I've been here a long time and I love it here clearly, so long may it continue.
"(My aim is) just to keep getting better really and to keep playing at the best level I can play at, whether that's in Europe or the Premier League and next year just to keep upping my performances, keep on improving and having better seasons."
Doherty has had a season to remember for Nuno Espirito Santo's side and many feel that his contribution to Wolves' incredible campaign ought to have seen him rewarded with a place in the Team of the Year.
Republic of Ireland manager Mick McCarthy, meanwhile, has his work cut out for him if he is to somehow include both Doherty and captain Seamus Coleman in the same side ahead of the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers.
