Jordan is part of a £120m takeover.
A partnership involving Michael B Jordan has completed its takeover of AFC Bournemouth, the Premier League club have confirmed.
The consortium, led by American businessman Bill Foley, are the majority owners after the previous chairman Maxim Denim sold a 100 per cent stake in the club.
Denim leaves after 11 years of ownership in which he saw the club promoted from League One to the top flight in the space of a five-year period.
Foley will take on the role of chairman at the Cherries and has promised to provide "the investment to sustain and build upon Bournemouth's recent accomplishment".
"I have tremendous respect for the passion and support the Bournemouth community shows for this club and believe that connection to the community is the foundation for success of any sports team," the 77-year-old told the
club's website.
"We will move forward with an 'always advance, never retreat' approach that has defined all of my endeavours. I am committed to work with the best football and business minds available to enhance player development, facilities, and the fan experience to put AFC Bournemouth in the best possible position to succeed."

He attended Bournemouth's 3-1 win against Leicester City in October and has purchased a house in the local area to reaffirm his commitment to the club.
Jordan meanwhile is part of the minority stake in what will be the Hollywood actor's first venture into professional sports ownership.
Bournemouth's takeover is the latest in a list of American investments in Premier League clubs after a group led by Todd Boehly took over Chelsea in May.
There is also American investment in Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Leeds, West Ham and Manchester City.
