Mick McCarthy names Ireland team to play Georgia

There have been some changes.

Mick McCarthy has named his Republic of Ireland starting XI for the Euro 2020 qualifier against Georgia. Ireland take on a familiar opponent at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday night. The national team have played Georgia on nine occasions, winning eight and drawing one. However, that record doesn't tell the whole story. Georgia have been tricky opposition for Ireland and were unfortunate not to take more points from the games. This will be their fourth trip to the Aviva - the most of any away team to the stadium since it was redeveloped. They also took points off Ireland the last time the two sides played, a 1-1 draw in Tbilisi in September 2017. For the match on Tuesday night, a must-win game for McCarthy's team, the manager has made some changes from the team that laboured to a win over Gibraltar on Saturday evening. Matt Doherty drops out of the team and Glenn Whelan starts in midfield. Here's the full team:
