One look at Kane's reaction to Spurs' second goal against Stoke last weekend would have told you everything you needed to know about how passionate he is about his tally as he was adamant that he got a touch to a Christian Eriksen free-kick before it nestled in the back of the net.
"Obviously as a striker, it would be great to win the Golden Boot again and I will keep working hard from now until the end of the season," Kane said.
"I swear on my daughter’s life that I touched the ball!"Spurs are obviously eager for Kane to claim a hat-trick of Golden Boot awards because they appealed to the Premier League, who'd initially given the goal to Eriksen, to attribute it to the English striker. And, as luck would have it, confirmation arrived on Wednesday afternoon that Kane had eventually got his way. https://twitter.com/PLComms/status/984098797654626305 The dubious touch has now taken Kane's league total this season to 25 and it's seemingly not gone down at all well on Merseyside. Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Simon Mignolet have appeared to hit out at the decision as they understandably want their talisman to finish top of the heap. https://twitter.com/22mosalah/status/984102734117920768 https://twitter.com/SMignolet/status/984105774573080581?s=19 https://twitter.com/trentaa98/status/984105781254598656?s=19 https://twitter.com/GWijnaldum/status/984107713385893890
