With Arsene Wenger under some of the most intense pressure of his Arsenal tenure, fans are eager for someone to stand up and be counted on the pitch to ensure that the 2017/18 season will not go down as a total failure. Over the years, the Gunners have had captains of varying degrees of success.

Since the foundation of the Premier League in 1992, Arsenal have had nine official club captains. And we want you to name all of them in five minutes. We're looking for official club captains here, meaning that Laurent Koscielny will not be accepted as an answer because, despite the fact that we've seen him wear the armband on several occasions this term, he is technically the club's vice-captain.
