Napoli close to completing move for Hirving Lozano

Mexican international Hirving Lozano is reportedly close to finalising his move from PSV Eindhoven to Napoli. The 23-year-old, who scored his country's winner over Germany during last summer's World Cup, has managed 19 goals for PSV over the course of the season. His form has seen him linked with a move away from the Eredivisie club for much of the last six months, with Manchester United frequently mentioned as possible suitors for the pacy forward. Napoli, however, now appear to be his most likely destination. The Serie A club were claimed to have agreed terms with him last month and, though reports earlier in the week claimed he was stalling in case United made a move of their own, Gazzetta now say his arrival in Naples could be completed in the very near future. Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has been convinced to part with €50m (£44m) to bring him to Italy, with 80 per cent of this fee to be paid up front. Lozano, the report adds, will sign a five-year contract with the club. United, meanwhile, have agreed a deal in principle to sign Daniel James from Swansea. The pacy 21-year-old Welsh international can play on either wing and his imminent arrival at Old Trafford may explain why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not made an attempt to sign Lozano.
