Hibernian confirm that Neil Lennon has left the club

Neil Lennon has left his role as manager of Hibernian by mutual consent, it has been confirmed. A statement from the club confirmed that Lennon, along with assistant Garry Parker, "had not been dismissed and had not resigned." The former Celtic manager had been suspended by the club last Friday. But reports that the Hibernian board had decided to dismiss him of his duties on a permanent basis surfaced on Tuesday evening following their scheduled monthly meeting at the club's training ground. 'However, Neil, Garry and the club now consider that it would be in the best interests of all parties to part amicably. Lennon took charge at Easter Road in the summer of 2016, steering the club back to the Scottish top flight. On their return, they finished fourth, posting a record points tally.
